Send to a group and understand where replies go
Use an allowed member From address and understand the group's configured Reply-To behavior.
Send to a group when members are allowed
- Use the exact group address
Copy the address from a prior TellTell footer or from the organizer.
- Send from your member address
Choose an active address attached to your person record. A mail alias counts as a different From address.
- Compose a normal email
Send from Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, or another standard mail client. TellTell checks the sender and current group policy before forwarding it.
Where Reply goes
- Reply to the group: Reply targets the group address and passes through its normal sender check. Eligible group members receive the reply.
- Reply to a specific address: Reply goes directly to the address selected by the organizer, not to the whole group.
- Replies disabled: Reply targets a TellTell no-reply address and TellTell returns an explanation instead of distributing it.

The organizer's reply setting determines where your mail client's Reply action goes.
