Accepted, rejected, and in-progress messages
Understand the difference between initial acceptance and the aggregate result of all recipient deliveries.
Acceptance and rejection happen before delivery
- Accepted: the message passed the initial checks and TellTell created an immutable recipient plan. Accepted does not mean every recipient has received it.
- Rejected: TellTell stopped the message before fan-out because a sender, group, message, billing, safety, or limit check failed. No recipient delivery was attempted.
- No recipients: the message was accepted, but every resolved address was ineligible and skipped.
Messages keeps a durable operational record of what TellTell accepted and what happened next.

Statuses after acceptance
- Sending: at least one selected delivery is pending, queued, at the provider, or delayed.
- Delivered: every selected address has a provider delivery event.
- Partially delivered: selected addresses finished with a mix of successful and unsuccessful outcomes.
- Not delivered: the selected deliveries finished without a successful delivery.
