What counts as a person, send, data usage, or team

Translate People, Monthly sends, Monthly data volume, and Teams into the units TellTell enforces.

What each meter counts

  • People: current people in the account directory. Extra email addresses and group memberships do not create another person.
  • Monthly sends: selected recipient-address deliveries, not the number of original group messages. One message selected for 200 addresses counts as 200 sends.
  • Monthly data volume: the complete incoming email size multiplied by selected recipient addresses. Attachments therefore scale with the audience.
  • Teams: current teams in the account, whether each contains one group or many.

Monthly usage follows the Eastern calendar

Selected deliveries and group-mail data reset at midnight Eastern Time on the first day of each month, even for an annual subscription. People and team counts are current footprint measurements rather than monthly totals.

What happens near a limit

TellTell sends account notices at 80% and 95% of each monthly mail metric. A request that would exceed a limit fails before a partial group fan-out, person import, or team creation.
